Susie and I are fortunate to live in
the beautiful scenic area called the western slope. That means we are
on the west side of the Rockies. We actually are in the same desert
that Phoenix is in, but our weather is much more temperate. There are
so many attractions in the area to appeal to everyone. This is a great
fruit growing region and new vinyards and wineries are showing up all
the time. Touring the wineries and their tasting rooms is a great experience
and can easily fill two afternoons.
Outdoor activities are year round and include, skiing, camping, hunting,
fishing, hiking, cycling, rafting, canoeing, kyacking, jeep trips, and
historic sites and landmarks.
